Bill's Civic & Private Sector Experience

Bill's professional experience spans more than twenty years in the private sector. He earned his Certified Public Accountant ("CPA") credential in 1997 and has held leadership positions in finance, operations, and technology functions at a publicly-traded corporation in Chicago. In recent years, Bill changed his focus to make time for his civic and small business interests.

Corporate Leadership

Managed a billion dollar portfolio of leased transportation assets
Managed multi-million capital spending budget for enterprise technology
Led large, complex continuous improvement and software development project teams
Realized more than $10 million in annualized cost savings

Small Business Leadership

Acquired the unique Valpo business brand, Roots Organic Juice Café, in 2016
Founded the management and technology consulting practice, Vale City Technology, in 2017
Helped local small businesses and nonprofits to establish their web presence and improve business results

Community Leadership

Serve as president of Central Neighborhood Association, Inc.
Serve on board of directors for community engagement nonprofit, ValpoNEXT Inc.
Founded a community action committee, Valpo Quiet Zone, to stimulate public interest in railroad crossing safety and noise reduction efforts
